As Director of Operations for the Indiana Rural Health Association, Becky Sanders works with healthcare providers throughout the state of Indiana. She also maintains close ties with the Office of Community and Rural Affairs and other state agencies to foster public/private partnerships on behalf of the IRHA.
Becky also serves as the Program Director for the Upper Midwest Telehealth Resource Center (UMTRC). In this role, she works with our UMTRC consortium partners to provide a single point of contact for telehealth resources throughout Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, and Michigan. The UMTRC provides educational and outreach presentations, individualized technical assistance, facilitation, and connections to resources via our website and project staff.
Prior to her current positions, Becky Sanders served IRHA in the role of Indiana Telehealth Network Director, where she administered the creation of the Indiana Telehealth Network (ITN) through objectively scored Requests for Proposals for the construction of high speed fiber optic broadband lines for internet and dedicated transport services to the ITN healthcare participants.
Ms. Sanders has been with the IRHA since 2008, during which time she completed a Lean Healthcare Black Belt Certification from Purdue Healthcare Advisors. She is a member of the Indiana Society for Association Executives. Becky serves on the Advisory Committee for the National Rural Health Resource Center’s (NRHRC’s) Technical Assistance and Services Center (TASC). She previously worked in telecommunications for over 10 years at the National Exchange Carrier Association (NECA), where she held various positions in their Chicago, Illinois and Whippany, New Jersey offices. Ms. Sanders received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Indiana State University and a Masters of Business Administration in Healthcare Management from Western Governors University.
