Loren Nix, RN, BSN, is the Director of School-Based Telehealth with Global Partnership for Telehealth. She has been a registered nurse in Georgia since 1998, receiving her BSN from Medical College of Georgia School of Nursing. After working two years in the hospital setting, Mrs. Nix transitioned into the role of school nurse where she served for 14 years. In 2009, Mrs. Nix was the first school nurse in the state of Georgia to implement telehealth in her school nurse’s clinic. She joined the GPT team in 2014, working to provide education, support, and training for telehealth implementation to school systems throughout Georgia. In her current role as the director of GPT’s school-based telehealth program, Mrs. Nix now oversees the development and sustainability of school-based telehealth programs across the region.
