SVP, Advanced Network Analytics
Tina Brown-Stevenson is SVP, Advanced Network Analytics for UnitedHealthcare (UHC). Until mid-2012, Tina was the Chief Data and Analytics Officer for Ingenix (renamed Optum Insight), a UHC subsidiary. Prior to that appointment, she was EVP of the Health Care Innovation and Information Group there. Before joining Ingenix, Brown-Stevenson was president of Aetna Informaticssm, Aetna’s data, information, and analytics organization. Before joining Aetna in 2001, Brown-Stevenson served as the vice president of HealthCare Economics at Cigna, as vice president of Health System Development at Partners Healthcare in Boston, and as vice president for Medical Management of UnitedHealthcare’s New England health plan.
Brown-Stevenson is a Certified Managed Care executive who received an MA degree in Health Administration from Framingham State College (renamed Framingham State University) and a BS degree in Nursing from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. She has completed post-graduate work in health informatics, and is a frequent guest lecturer on managed care and applied health services research.
Brown-Stevenson is a member of the board of trustees of the Connecticut Health Foundation, a board member of the UnitedHealth Foundation, and a member of the Commonwealth Honors College Advisory Board at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. She is a former board member of both the Aurora Foundation for Women and Girls, and the Aetna Foundation. In 2010, her contributions to health care earned her national recognition in the annual “Women Worth Watching®” issue of the Profiles in Diversity Journal, dedicated to highlighting women leaders who make a difference.
